Marcus Partners kicked off RTB's 30th Anniversary Celebration

Marcus Partners kicked off Rebuilding Together Boston's 30th Anniversary celebration with a build to support an elder homeowner in Dorchester. Ms. Ardell Mitchell, a 78-year-old senior, who struggles with health issues, benefited from an RTB build. A team of 25 volunteers from Marcus Partners led an all-day effort to transform an unusable overgrown backyard, clean out basement and living space, and replace broken kitchen appliances.

"I'm so grateful to Rebuilding Together Boston and Marcus Partners for helping me out. I tried to maintain my property but have struggled to do so because of health concerns. I'm pleased to have access to my yard again." stated Ms. Mitchell

RTB provides much-needed home repairs to low and moderate-income homeowners at no cost to them. In honor of its 30th anniversary, RTB launched the 30-for-30 campaign, which will support 30 homeowners in Dorchester, Mattapan, and Roxbury over the next year.

"As a leading commercial real estate firm in Boston, we are delighted to have Marcus Partners sponsor our 30th-anniversary effort. The firm understands the importance of supporting neighborhood stabilization efforts in communities that need the investment. As RTB continues our efforts to assist low-income families in maintaining their assets, we look forward to more partnerships like the one we have developed with Marcus Partners." states Manikka Bowman, Executive Director of RTB.

“We are focused on creating a positive impact on our communities,” said Marcus Partners Senior Vice President of Construction and RTB Board Member Josh Berman. “With Rebuilding Together Boston, we were able to make a meaningful difference for a neighbor and also have a lot of fun doing so.”
